Home » Who We Are
We are a coalition of global organizations calling on world leaders to seize the methane moment at COP27. Join the pledge to cut methane pollution and save the planet.
Why Methane?
To save the planet, we need to reduce short-lived, but potent emissions of methane alongside efforts to decarbonize. Methane (CH4) is a greenhouse gas that traps over 80 times more heat in our atmosphere than carbon dioxide over the first 20 years. Swift action to reduce methane pollution from the world’s major sources is the most immediate way we can slow warming now.

Invisible Threat
Methane is an invisible pollutant causing at least 25% of current warming.
Hace unos años la presidenta Xiomara Castro fue altamente cuestionada y objeto de burla por parte de la incrédula oposición, cuando dió este acertado discurso en la COP28. Hoy Trump hace oficial dicho plan de la mano de Elon Musk.
It doesn't matter since COP28 changed the narrative, but it's a symbolic move and a slap in the face to John Kerry.
